08/06/2009 – 09/06/2009: Participation of HRDC in the Second Translational meeting of omOFFICE project
The Hellenic Regional Development Center participated in the Second Translational meeting of the Leonardo da Vinci Transfer of Innovation project ΄΄Effective Official and Satisfied Citizen-Good Practices in a Modern EU State΄΄ organised in Darmstadt (Germany) by the organisation REFA Bundesverband e.V.
During this two day meeting, project partners had the opportunity to exchange ideas on the Generic Generic Competence Profile of Local Government Officers, on the research tools to be used for the analysis of training needs and the internal project evaluation.
Partners have benefited from the presentation of the REFA Training program for Administration, the presentation on the phases of the training model and the training modules, which will be adapted and transferred to Poland and Slovakia in December 2009.
03/06/2009 – 06/06/2009: Participation of HRDC at the 7th Translational meeting of project PARENTING and at the Final Parents’ European Symposium organised in Cyprus
In the period between 3rd and 6th of June 2009 the Hellenic Regional Development Center participated at the 7th partner meeting and at the Final Parents’ European Symposium in Larnaca (Cyprus).
The Symposium was organized within the framework of the project “Parenting in a Multicultural European City”, a transnational project funded by the European Social Fund as a three year Grundtvig 1 project (from October 2006 – September 2009).
To the Symposium participated partner representatives and parents from 11 countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Spain, UK, and Switzerland as partner without budget). The total number of participants was well over 50.
The delegations arrived on June 3rd and had a welcome dinner together. On June 4th, after welcoming speeches from the Mayor of Larnaca and Latsia, the Cyprus Lifelong Learning Program responsible and Mrs Angela Vegliante, Head of Grundtvig Sector at EACEA (Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency) of European Commission, the symposium commenced.
After a short presentation of the project by Judith James, project coordinator, each country presented the work done by their group of parents and some traditional food and tradition of their country.
A “treasure hunt” game followed to help the parents to know each other better.
On June 5th, the external evaluation team of Organization ARGO from Denmark run a session to draw together the parents’ views on “Adapting policy to meet the multicultural common or shared needs of parents”.
At the end of this session, the parents’ points of view on policy changes to help all parents in Europe and especially the parents living in a foreign country were summed up.
In the afternoon and the following day, cultural visits to Nicosia and Paphos were organized by our host Kleitos Symeonides, responsible for Cyprus Adult Education sector.
